accreditation of the MSU Billings College of Technology Associate of

Nurse programs.
The Nursing Director reports directly to the Dean of the MSU Billings
College of Technology. Areas of responsibility include coordination of
curriculum planning; program outcomes assessment; completion of program
reports; development and implementation of policies; budget planning;
evaluation and monitoring of classroom and clinical sites; daily
management of the program including scheduling of classes; coordination
of faculty and faculty workload; student retention activities and
academic advising; committee work and college service; and professional
development activities. The Nursing Director will also explore
opportunities with faculty to develop courses online or at
non-traditional times to meet students’ needs. The Nursing
Director
will partner with nursing faculty in all areas to maintain excellence
across both programs.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
A Master’s degree in nursing or public health with a major in
nursing,
from a nationally recognized accredited program, with preparation in
education and administration (Completion of a Master’s degree
within 6
months of hire may be considered)
A current unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse in the
State of Montana Two years of experience in nursing practice
Two years
of experience in nursing education, including didactic and
clinical teaching at the level of the program’s highest
terminal degree
Demonstrated educational preparation or experience in
registered
nursing education, teaching, and learning principles for adult
education, including but not limited to curriculum development and
administration
