Orthopaedic Practice seeks to add a full-time PA or NP to work directly with a General Orthopaedic Surgeon. Procedures performed include: arthroscopic surgery, shoulder and knees, total joints, fracture care and athletic injury. The new PA/NP would eventually run an Orthopaedic Clinic. The PA/NP would spend one to two days in the OR performing first assist. Responsibilities include: H&P's, patient evaluation and education, refers for diagnostic treatment, first assist, review lab results, cortisone injections, treat basic fractures, hospital rounds, casting and splinting within a clinic setting. Successful candidate should be NCCPA-certified and able to work well in a fast-paced environment. There is no call coverage and there is some weekend rounding. The practice will train a bright and hard working new graduate. They would prefer candidates that have ties to the upstate New York area. The location is near the Albany area.
