Pediatric
Nurse Practitioner - Nationwide Travel
We
are currently seeking motivated individuals with a commitment to
excellence for the ongoing National Health and Nutrition Examination
Survey (NHANES), sponsored by the Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention. NHANES involves in-person household interviews and
examinations conducted in a mobile examination center (MEC). NHANES is
adding a community study to collect data on physical activity and
fitness of children and adolescents. Nurse Practitioners will be part
of a large team that travels throughout the U.S. They will remain at a
site for about 4 weeks and their primary duty is to measure physical
activity and fitness levels in children and adolescents. Measures will
include walking and running on a treadmill, and upper and lower body
exercises. Their work will be primarily conducted in a MEC. Much of the
work will be conducted in the evenings and on weekends.
A
currently licensed pediatric nurse practitioner is preferred for this
position. A physician’s assistant may be considered with the
required
experience. The candidate must have experience working with young
children. ACLS certification is a plus. Fluency in Spanish language
preferred.
Valid driver’s license and FULL-TIME CONTINUOUS TRAVEL IS
