We’re
looking for an Advanced Practice Nurse at our Winfield location at
Central DuPage Hospital, who would report to our Director of
Operations, with physician input. We offer competitive

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1.
Responsible for providing medical care in collaboration with physician.
2.
Assesses patient health status including state of wellness, compliance
with care plan and determines appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic
procedures.
3.
Triages patient calls and evaluates patient problems.
4.
Responds to emergencies including use of CPR.
OTHER DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES:
10. Completes
special projects as assigned.
11. Performs
duties of co-workers and subordinates as workload dictates.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND
ABILITIES:
Knowledge
of: acute and chronic care protocols, administration of
medications,
delivering physical care following treatment plan, how to assess
patient health and measure/record physiologic and growth indices, and
of health promotion principles and techniques and patient learning
measurements.
Ability
to: make responsible decisions within the scope of a dependent
medical
practitioner, develop health education programs and materials, and work
collaboratively with all members of health care team.
Skill
in: gathering and analyzing physiological, socioeconomic and emotional
patient data, accurately evaluating patient problems in person or via
phone and providing appropriate advice, intervention or referral, and
evaluating and revising care plan based on patient changes.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Education: Master or
Doctoral level. Graduate of CCNE accredited nursing program.
Experience: Minimum of
one year experience as nurse practitioner, preferably in an orthopedic
clinic setting.
LICENSURE AND
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Illinois state RN and
APN license, ONC Certification, and CPR Certification (all must be
current).
