 Health Services clinic at Lake Forest College Illinois Evanston Northwestern Healthcare-Highland Park Hospital and Lake Forest College, Chicago's National Liberal Arts College, invites applications for the position of Nurse Practitioner. This is a full-time, 10-month position; the Nurse Practitioner will be an employee of Evanston Northwestern Healthcare-Highland Park Hospital and work in the Health Services clinic at Lake Forest College. The individual in this position will join a team of energetic and creative professionals committed to innovative, integrative and prevention focused services and programming aimed at fostering the holistic development of college students as part of the mission of the Lake Forest College's Health & Wellness Center. The Health & Wellness Center, located in a newly renovated facility, strives to support healthy student development and impact the campus community by providing multiculturally-skilled and community-focused health care, counseling, and health and wellness education. The Nurse Practitioner is the College's resident expert regarding student health issues and responsible for providing leadership to the Health Services department. Primary responsibilities include:
•Leadership, direction, and administration of medical service activities of Lake Forest College's Health Services
•Provision of primary healthcare for students, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention
•Incorporation of medical services within the professional parameters of a certified nurse practitioner through a collaborative relationship with the off-site Medical Director
•Athletic, physical and gynecological examinations
•Collaborate with Health & Wellness staff members, including clinical psychologists, psychology interns, and social worker to provide integrated and holistic care
•Consult with college faculty, staff, and administrators regarding student health concerns when necessary
•Provide appropriate referrals and maintain liaison with area physicians and Highland Park Hospital providers to ensure continuity of care
•Provide patient education for preventable health and therapeutic effects of treatment
•Develop and implement prevention programs on a variety health and wellness issues (e.g. sexual health, diet/nutrition, stress management, men's health, women's health, alcohol and other drug awareness), using methods that have been proven effective with college student populations
•Develop educational programs that target high risk students and that aim to achieve early identification and early intervention of health issues. Plan and implement on-going program evaluation to establish effectiveness of programs
•Train Student Affairs staff, paraprofessional staff, and facilitate Resident Assistant seminars as needed
•Participate in the training of psychology interns and therapy practicum students with respect to health & wellness issues
•Maintain excellent communication between Highland Park Hospital and Lake Forest College Qualifications:
•Advanced Practice licensure in Illinois (Family or Adult NP)
•AANP or ANCC Nurse Practitioner certification
•APN Controlled Substance licensure
•Demonstrated leadership skills
•Strong communication and organizational skills
•Knowledge of administrative and managerial practices, policy development, risk management and quality assurance systems as related to ambulatory care preferred

Emergency Camden New Jersey
Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center Emergency Department has 38,000 emergency visits annually and the 34 bed-ED opened in New Critical Care tower in May 2005. The ED had 31 hours of physician coverage (7 hours double coverage) and 18 hours of PA and NP coverage daily, as well as 10 hours/day of EM resident coverage. Lady of Lourdes is a 410-bed community-oriented, teaching and tertiary facility which offers a broad spectrum of patient services, including four cardiac catheterization labs, two electrophysiology labs, a new Ambulatory Care Building which houses the Osborn Family Health Center and the new outpatient dialysis unit. Our Lady of Lourdes is a major teaching affiliate of UMDNJ/School of Osteopathic Medicine and the Thomas Jefferson University EM Residents rotate through the ED. Camden is the city across the Delaware River from Philadelphia that is currently undergoing a resurgence of civic pride and building for the future. Its close proximity to Philadelphia's cultural and educational resources and the many recreational resources of New Jersey and Pennsylvania make the South Jersey/Camden area an ideal place to live.
