This nurse practitioner will maintain and extend the functions of the Center for Nursing Clinics to provide primary health care services to underserved populations in Akron and surrounding communities especially in the University Park area. This contract professional will have excellent opportunities to practice with an interdisciplinary team and to participate on innovative training, demonstration and research grants. The ideal candidate will have experience as a nurse practitioner in community settings with vulnerable populations. The nurse practitioner will work collaboratively with college faculty to ensure a high quality of student clinical education. Experience conducting clinical and/or community research is desirable.
