Veterans Healthcare Manchester NH Nurse Practitioner NPworld.us Nurse Practitioner (Mental Health)Manchester VA Healthcare Systems- Portsmouth & Manchester, NH Department Of Veterans Affairs $63,610.00 to $106,071.00 / Per Year VN-0610-00 (VIN): 765562 Full Time - Excepted Service Permanent The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will be assigned to work at either the Community Outpatient Clinics in the seacoast area (Portsmouth and Somersworth) VA Medical Center in Manchester or may be assigned to both. The final determination would be made at time of hire and will be dependent upon overall staffing needs. S/he will accountable for the delivery of the highest quality, age-specific (including adult, middle-aged and geriatric) comprehensive mental health care services including diagnosis and management of acute and chronic mental illness. S/he works collaboratively with many disciplines to provide care, including physicians, pharmacists, registered nurses, licensed vocational nurses, social workers, clerical and administrative staff, community agencies and others as appropriate. In the clinical setting, the incumbent will be responsible for serving a critical outpatient continuity role. S/he will independently manage a caseload of mental health patients transitioning from inpatient to outpatient treatments settings, including ongoing evaluation of diagnosis, psychological functioning , substance abuse, and psychosocial will being; and treatment, including prescribing psychiatric medications and providing psychotherapy.
